Ex Husband arrested w/160lbs of pot What right do kids have?

My X was arrested last week in AL for w/160lbs of pot in his car. No federal case yet but he can't make bail and is in jail till June. I want to know what my kids rights are to the things that are theirs at his house. Dirt bike, 4 wheeler, Child support from his accounts. His ex girlfriend says she is selling everything to try to make bail. I doubt it seriously she is going to stick around with the $. He can rot in jail for all I care. I just want our kids to have what is thiers. HELP! I'm in NJ, he lives in TX but was arrested in AL.
