Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

husband came into a large amount of money.

My husband came in to a large amount of money, we are still married but we are talking about divorce. Can i legally get him to give me some of the money that came into his hands recently.

It really depends on where the money came from. Inheritances, for example, are not subject to equitable distribution and you would not likely be entitled to any part of that. There are other sources which would not be exempt. Without knowing more detail, a sound answer cannot be given.
