Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My husband and I are in the middle of a divorce. He still lives in the home we both own and I want my name off the mortgage. He cannot refinance because we owe more than the house is worth. He wants to add an addition so that his parents can move in, once they sell their house, and then refinance because he says the house will be worth more and he will be able to refinance with no problem. I do not want any addition built until my name is off the mortgage in fear that he will only increase the amount we owe and I will be stuck with a bigger headache. What are my rights?
