Illegal Immigrant

if someone gets married, then finds out later that the spouse is an illegal immigrant and their ssn is fake, is the marriage still legal in NJ? Would you still need to get ''divorced?''

If the person married you only to get a green card there was fraud in the marriage and you are entitled to have the marriage annuled, meaning you were never married.
