Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Impute income ?

Hello, I am due for the 3 year review soon. My question is about imputing income to my ex. She has a masters degree in education and has taken a job @ a school as a teacher making 20k ish a year. I actually could care less about the money but I know that if I were to become unemployed and had to accept a lower paying job the courts wouldn't care. I am in a very unstable but profitable career field.

1. What are my options.

2. How much would I have to fight, and what would I have to do?

Re: Impute income ?

Imputing requires the services of an economist who with information as to your wife's formal education and work experience would locate jobs for which she would easily quality and give a mid, average range of income for each job.

Your lawyer would plug in the applicable law and ask the court to impute the income that she has

voluntarily decided to forego.
