Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Inform of lay-off

does my ex-husband who is paying child support and alimony obligated to tell me when he gets laid off from his job? I know he lost his job, but found out from someone else, he has not told me.

He should tell you if he will be unable to pay as much for alimony and child support. I should point out that his severance pay is not just a cushion for him to have a soft landing in another job; it should afford him the opportunity to continue to pay at the same levels, at least within the short term.
