Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Interstate custody/child support

My ex-wife and I have joint custody of our 13 yr old son. She wants to move to California thereby limiting my parenting time w/ my son. If I don't agree to this what will happen. If I do agree will the courts allow me to discontinue or pay less in child support?

Re: Interstate custody/child support

Your wife can not lawfully move with your child outside of the state without either your permission or the authorization of a court order.

Her moving can be contested. Your child support obligation remains no matter whether the child lives.

You should call me for additional information.
