Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Joint Custody & Childsupport

My ex and I have a 9 year old daughter. We both have joint & residential custody. She's with me Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and she's with her father Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and we have alternate Saturdays. I pay for child care, after school fees and medical for her. Can I file for child support even if we both have joint and residental custody?

Yes. Even if you make exactly the same amount of money, he would still have to pay some support and share in the after school care. Immediately file with the county probation office, or see an attorney to start the proceedings. We are available and offer the first consultation for free.

Day care and medical expenses are to be shared. If one of you earns considerable more income than the other that j person might also have to contribute more to child support.
