Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Joint Custody and ex-spouse moves out of state

I am a soon to be divorced man living in New Jersey with 2 sons (ages 12 & 9) and expect to receive joint custody. When the divorce becomes final does my ex-wife have the ability to move my sons out of state, or do I have any recource or action to take prior to the divorce becoming final to prevent this?

She has to file a motion with the court if you do not consent to it.

To permanently move with the children

your wife needs your consent or a court order.
