joint custody, which school?

My sons father and I live less than a mile apart but are in two diffent school districts (although the same zip code) in new jersey, we share joint legal and physical custody, where is my son allowed to attend public school?

As long as the two of you agree, you would likely be permitted to enroll your child in either school by just having the parent within that district sign the necessary papers at the school. They probably would not even question it. If they did, ask them what they would need.
