Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

if you have a judgement for arrears and you pay the balance off in full, but the judges order did not mention any interest to be included do you have to pay interest? In the orders the judge said to pay a certain amount towards the arrears each week, which was being done till I was able to pay in full. How does this get figured out.

Do you have a statement from the court which indicated how much you owed before the judge issued the order?

This statement should have included any arrears that were owed prior to the order that directed you to pay the specific amount was issued.

Please locate this statement from the court.

This should help you determine what went wrong.
