Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Getting kicked out of house by boyfriend and father of my child
My boyfriend is kicking me out of his house and essentially my 15 month old daughter as well as I take care of her and he works 80 hours a week and hardly sees her. He has filed papers to remove me from the house and I have no where to go in the area and I do not qualify for a place of my own. Worse yet, we work together in real estate. He is my team leader and he has limited my leads and income significantly while giving the same to the the rest of the team. He also cut off the phone and internet at home so i couldnt even work from home, make calls, look for work, look for places, etc. I have no help with the baby and I am subject to all his games and manipulation. I also have no money for a lawyer and he knows it. can he just kick me and the baby out? i do not own the home with him. i hav lived with him for 4 years and this is my legal residence. I could possibly go stay with family out of state about 2 hours away but he is refusing to let me do that. we have not been to court and he is not paying child support at all. he has never paid for anything for the baby. it has always been my responsibility. he is currently not sleeping in the house.

I have read your posting, and it is distressing.
You could really use the help of an experienced family law attorney.
He is also going to cause huge problems for your employer by his actions.
Child support would be a first step, but there is much to do to assist you.
Please call me if you would like an attorney to assist you. I am in Hackensack, right across from the Bergen County Courthouse.

Go to the county courthouse in the county where you live and file a child support complaint. Ask to make an emergent application because the father is evicting you and the child and you have no where to go. Ask that there be a temporary order keeping you and the child in the house temporarily.
If you go to the family part they will help you fill out the complaint.
