how long does dfys have to give a parent from whom they have taken their children to get their life together and get thier children back?

The last thing DYFS wants to do is keep your kids, but at the same time, they don't want to put them in harms way. There is no time limit. I suggest you see an attorney if you can afford one.

There are varying factors that determine that, there is no set time that is across the board.
