Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

what is the Law?

When contemplating divorce, how long does it take to get served the papers after they are drawn up? Also, if the parties need to separate before the divorce is filed in court, will this hurt the person at the time of divorce who leaves the home? Is there any rules on this?

Your questions have multiple answers depending on circumstance. You should see an attorney so he can answer your questions after interviewing about your particular situation. Generally, service after a complaint is filed takes about two weeks and, generally, there is no adverse circumstances if one spouse leaves the other in contemplation of divorce. If I can be of further help, please call for an appointment.
