It's unlikely that you will get your pound of flesh. It is likely that you will get reasonable child support and pendente lite alimony. In addition, you will have the ability (in the context of litigation) to establish whether or not she improperly utilized marital assets for non-family purposes, and hold her accountable for same. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Matrimonial law allows you certain rights, and imposes certain obligations on parties. If you have custody of the minor children, you are entitled to child support. Additionaly, from the limited facts presented, you might be entitled to receive alimony to maintain "your lifesytle". This is received by filing an action with the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part. I would recommend that you have an attorney provide advice and help with the decision of whether to file, and what to file.
