Re: Legal financial sepration in New Jersey

There is no such thing as a "legal financial separation" in NJ. Anyone can separate and make financial arrangements with each other. This would be legal, whether it is in writing or not, with Court approval or without. The real question is whether or not the agreement is fair to both parties and enforceable in Court if either party did something in violation of the agreement. For that, you would need to consult with an attorney. I would be happy to speak with you about this. Feel free to call me at 856-546-8010. Mention LawGuru and your first consultation is free. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
