You can give your friends a document known as a Power of Attorney; it authorizes them to act in your place.

You should contact the school and advise of your situation and that you intend to have a power of attorney prepared and confirm that they approve of the procedure. You can then have an attorney

prepare a number of original powers of attorney

and give several to your friends and one to the school before you leave. You will need a number of originals because anyone acting in reliance of a power of attorney is going to want an original to prove what was done was done with property authority. Your friends can give the power of attorney to any medical provider in the event that there is a need for medical care while you are away.

I have done several of these type situations. You will want to sign a power of attorney which gives temporary custody and control over your child to your friend. they will be able to take all action as if they were her parent (school, medical, and other actions).
