Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
I live in Monmouth Cty NJ. My daughter's father lives in another county. Recently he had a report filed with DYFS on him, which seems to be false. Hudson Cnty DYFS is investigating. Though well within my rights to refuse, I allowed them to come to my home where they interviewed my children, suggested we change our bedroom situation which we did. Also they want me to talk to a dr because I am bipolar and not medicated, but doing just fine. They can see my kids aren't abused or neglected but are still haunting us. We have cooperated and complied and I am arranging to speak to a mental health worker. I feel that my right to privacy has been trampled when my own household has never had a complaint against us, and would like them to cease and desist. I plan on writing a letter as such, but would also like legal advice on my options to get them to just leave us alone. We are good parents who work hard to provide for our children and don't deserve this interference in our lives over someone who was angry at someone outside of our home.

I don't suggest you even think about doing anything until you speak to a lawyer. Call me at 732/773/2768 to discuss. You can also check out http://njdyfslawyers.com/
