Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

loan for son

i signed for a loan for my son to go to computer school, he was making payments for about 2 yrs. he even sent them a letter stating that he was responable for the payments .then he married and , , bought a house had childern and all of a sudden he stoped paying the loan . i takled to the company that the loan is through they have a letter in there files that he is responable for the payments , doesnt that help me in any way. the loan company won,t send me a copy of the letter the loan is for 12,000 and there is no way i can affored to pay i am on ssi and out of a job , my husband is out of work for about a year we have no money comming in . there must be something i can do can you help ? thank you

Without an attorney, I don't see where you are going to be able to go here. You signed for the loan and they are going to come after you at some point. I suggest you ask some family members for help to hire an attorney.
