Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

If I lose my home....................

I appreciate the replies 3 lawyers have given to my prior question about my wife (we're separated 3 1/2 years) requesting items from my home. I am permanently disabled for 13 years, have SOLE CUSTODY of my kids & live in the home she walked away from in 2003 & never returned. Having my kids protects me from her getting her claws on my home until the boys are out of HS or college. I have a meager disability income, my home is worth $350,000 & I don't have the $$$ to buy her out. IF I DIVORCED her and was forced to sell the home, she would receive 50% of its equity & it would leave my kids and I out on the street because (minus the mortgage balance) I would not have the downpayment for another home at today's prices! She lives with her boyfriend & lives off of him so her portion would be all spending money! All becauser of this wonderful EQUITY state we live in! She was the smart one. She abandons her kids, commits adultery, leaves me with the house payment and she is still ''entitled'' to 1/2 of the items in the home of while I have paid $47,000 in mortgage payments since she left?? I had to replace the living rm set & a TV. She can still take these? If she was gone for 20 yrs I am not supposed to live my life with any new things?

I have read your clarification.

You need to consult an attorney, and get some advice. I do NOT believe you are stuck in this situation as you describe. and every day you stay put is another chunk of money lost to you and your kids.
