Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Losing house

I own a house its in mine and my soon to be exwifes name. She has had it for the past 2 years while I've been renting an apartment. She abandoned it and hasnt paid it for the last 6 months. I have no idea where she is and no money, acording to legal service unemployment gives me too much. We have no children together but i have a child with someone else. I also just got a letter from the state about taking the house. What can I do?

Re: Losing house

Get an attorney. Many attorneys take credit cards. You need to get some credit cards and talk to some friends and family to help you out. A case like this should not be that expensive.

You could also crack some law books and research the issues yourself.

Or you could just let the house get taken and be left with nothing.

Those are all your options as I see them.
