Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Marriage License

I just read a response to a question pertaining to a man living in Pa. He wants to get a divorce from his wife whom he married while living in NJ. He doesn't have his marriage license but the response read: ''You will need to have the marriage certificate to attach to the divorce complaint when you file it. Those are the PA rules.'' My question is, are the rules the same for NJ? Do residents here also need to have their marriage certificate? My wife has our original marriage certificate. So, if I should need one in NJ how do I go about getting one for myself? I was married in Wash. Twp, Gloucester County (South Jersey) and now live in Woodbury.
