if i lost my job, would my ex-wife be able to come after my joint assets (savings, real estate) from my second marriage? I was divorced in NJ

If you lose your job you will have to continue to pay whatever child support or alimony required by court order unless you successfully convince the court that you have suffered a permanent, involuntary loss of earning capacity. If you failurfe to pay support required by court order your former spouse can seek to convert any arrearages to a judgment and to seek to collect on the judgment. If you own your house with your wife

the house is probably safe because you and your wife own the entire house. I would think that you would not want to test whether your former spouse could successfully levy upon your present, marital

residence.
