married in finland

if married in another country, and your spouse does not want to become an american citzen how can you get divorced in this country? married 30 years.

Divorce has nothing to do with where you were married. It has to do with whether you have resided in New Jersey for a year. If you have you can file for divorce in New Jersey.

You can be an illegal alien and still get divorced in NJ. May not make much sense, but it happens all of the time. I have handled many divorces where at least one of the parties is not a citizen. Its very common and never really an issue.
