Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Hi, I was married in the United States to my husband from england a few years ago. We recently got divorced but the divorce was done in england. My husbands lawyer sent me a scanned copy of the divorce in a email to hold me over until i got the actual documents in hand. I had moved during the process of the divorce so they had sent the documents to my old house and apparently it had gotten sent back. I still have not recieved the formal papers in hand. Will the scanned copy work here? Do i have to go to my local courthouse and show that to them? Thank you!

It would be smart for you to sit down here with a divorce attorney, and get everything arranged.

The copy will have to be correctly docketed in the local court to be enforceable.

Give me a call, and we will go over this. No charge for the first office visit.
