Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
I have been married for 22 years. Out of the blue my husband wants a divorce. We want to stay at our current house until june until our only daughter graduates high school. Money is very tight. We both cannot afford laywers. We want to try to do this the easiest, simple way. What are my legal rights that I am not aware of of. And..I at this time really do not want to divorce.

If he wants a divorce, there is nothing you can do legally to stop it. Money is tight I know but going without an attorney may cost you a fortune if the case is not handled the right way. Think about it as a good investment for your future. Call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss. Until you speak to a reasonbly priced lawyer, don't assume you can't afford one.
Tell him he is an idiot because you are going to lose a lot of money because real estate values are down. Also, you tell him that divorce is one of the major causes of poverty in America.
With regard to the divorce, you cannot stop him.
With regard to the cost of the divorce, have you tried legal services?
