Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Method of delivery
Does a motion have to be delivered in the same way to both the opposing cousel and the court? Amotion was certified mailed to me and was to my box in 3 days but was same day messengered to the court. Does that make a difference?

You are clearly operating without an attorney, and that will cause you real risks of harm.
Service of a routine motion in a divorce case, served by certified mail on a person who has no lawyer is probably perfectly good. However, I would need more information to give you a definite answer.
If you need more time to respond to the motion, you could ask your opponent and get permission in writing from the opponent to put off, delay, the motion. Or you could ask the Court.
It really is not possible for any attorney to 'coach' you over the internet. You need a lawyer to help you.
Please call my office if you would like my assistance. I would be happy to speak to you on the telephone, but it will take more than just a brief telephone call to assist you with these issues.
