Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
I miss my children
In short, my ex husband gained custody of my kids 4 years ago. I have visitation but i have to provide liscense, registration, etc. After the court date my ex refused against a court order to give me the title to register my car. The cops conviscated the car. I have been struggling to keep a roof over my head ever since. I have not seen my children in 4 years. I have been walking ever since. He did this to put me on the street. I couldnt go to court cuz it is a NJ court order. I was laid off my job at the same time. My ex is very manipulative and has brainwashed my children just like i said in court he would do. The courts would not listen to me and my situation cuz i had no lawyer. I was a stay at home mom for 9 years. Crying please help me!

Re: I miss my children
First, get help for your employment and housing situation. You may be eligible for free or low cost job counseling and "displaced homemaker" or other "adjustment" therapy, to help you in your search for employment and housing.
After you obtain steadier footing, you might seek legal assistance from a law school clinic, in NJ, if visitation remains a problem. Try Seton Hall or Rutgers.
Your presentation to the Court and to your children, as well as your persistence in demonstrating your maturity, stability, love and concern for your children can be shown in a variety of ways. If you take your time and carefully think through what you CAN DO, you will probably surprise yourself.
Good luck,
