Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Missing Divorce Decree

I requested a copy of my divorce decree from NJ Superior Court, who informed me that there was no record of my divorce from 1994. I used a Divorce Kit to get my divorce and had a court appearance. What would be the reason that the NJ Superior Court can't find any record of my divorce? I'm already remarried. How does this affect my marriage?

Re: Missing Divorce Decree

You made some mistake in identifying your case, probably. In what county did you obtain the divorce.

If you appeared in a New Jersey courtroom and were granted the divorce I can find it for you for a fee.
