Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

modifying visitation

As non-custodial parent in New Jersey. I want to know what kind of visitation can I ask a court if i move to Georgia. Also, what kind of transportation arrangement can I ask for my 7yr old? Can she travel via airlines as an option?

Re: modifying visitation

Airline travel is possible. Usually most of your visitation would be in the summer, perhaps some other holiday week.

Call me if you like.

Re: modifying visitation

This is one of the common questionst that I get asked a good deal.

Yes, you can continue to see your daughter, and you should. It is very important.

This will take some careful planning, and negotiations with her mother. If you can not reach a sensible resolution, then you ask the Judge to modify the visitation arrangements.

You should be looking for at least several longer blocks of time, a week or two weeks at a time. You should be prepared to be flexible on who is going to pay for the airline tickets; this will depend a good deal on your finances and your daughter's mother's finances.

Please call my office if you would like my assistance. I would be happy to speak to you on the telephone, but it will take more than just a brief telephone call to assist you with these issues.
