Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Money owed from a lawyer

I have recently divorced and now have no lawyer for help. I am trying to collect money owed to me from my X-husband's lawyer from an Attorney Trust Fund Account in the least costly and polite manner. My X-husband and I are not on a communication level in an friendly way. This was a court agreement of money to an IRS situation and my tax refund went to paid for about 65% of the amount. This should not have gone this far. Now I am trying to collect this amount owed to me. How can I approach this delima.

Thankyou

Re: Money owed from a lawyer

You may need an attorney to assist you in the recovery of the money you are owed.

Furthermore, if you are absolutely certain that the attorney is holding money that is lawfully yours, and refuses to give it to you, you can file a complaint against the attorney with the Disciplinary Committe of the appropriate Appellate Division.

If you need assistance with this, or any other matter, please feel free to contact me.
