Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

A mother has allowed her baby's father's (deceased) parents to raise the baby out of surviovers guilt and simpathy for the death of their son. she has stayed in contact with them and the child and now after 5 years wants the child to live with her. The grandparents will fight this request. what do you think will happen?
