Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Mother wants custody back

I took my ex-girlfriend to court for custody of my two year old son in November of 2001. She freely gave him up to me in court. She also lost custody of her other two children to her mother in September of 2001. Now, she told me yesterday that she filed for paperwork to get custody of all her kids back. I told her she was in for the fight of her life. Wouldn't it be difficult for her to get custody back of all her kids? The mother and I live in New Jersey.

Re: Mother wants custody back

I would think it would be difficult, but not impossible. She had created a track record which would be very hard to avoid. However, you need to seek immediate legal advice. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit ofinformation that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not

retained an attorney, you may want to contact an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be

able to rely on the advice. If you call me, [856-546-8010] mention Law Guru and your first one hour consultation will be free. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
