Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

mother's right to move

I am pregnant and currently live in NJ w/my boyfriend. I would like to move to NH to finish my certification. Once the baby is born, can my boyfriend make me move back to NJ before I am finished with school?

Re: mother's right to move

It would be highly unlikely. First, the child's place of birth would not be New Jersey and would have never lived in New Jersey so that a complaint as to custody or visitation could only be filed in Connecticut, assuming that you remain there. It would be quite different if you lived in New Jersey after the child were born.

Call me if you like.
