Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Want to move from NJ to NC with child to be with my family

I have joint custody with my son's father, He is a great father. I know he will not just let our 12yr old go with out a fight. My mother moved in 1998 when we were together and I choice to stay for our family, but ever since we broke up I have wanted to be with my family. His father is now married, both have decent jobs and he has a son and step son with his wife. I do not have family here and I need the support of my family as you know kids get sick and get out of school at certian times which makes it very hard. I miss my family so bad and my mother is going to need my help as she is disabled and living with her sister at this time. I also have a 4yr old and am a single mom, I have full custody of him and legal papers say we have an agreement with out the law. He was on child support but I dropped it because he wasn't paying it and my rent goes by my income so I was paying rent I couldn't afford and almost was evicted. He still not doing for my youngest and has not seen him for over a yr. So it is very hard to keep jobs and I am low income. How would I go about both situations and what do you think the chances are. Would leagal aid help?

Sounds like you should go to legal aid and speak with them.
