Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Moving during divorce

I filed for divorce 2 mths ago in NJ but my husband has not been served as he has disappeared in Canada. I would like to move out of state in 3 mths because I cannot currently afford where I live. I doubt the divorce will be close to being finished, and there are no children involved. Can I move out-of-state while the divorce is on-going?

I agree with Mr. Moore. Call an attorney to work this case out.

I don't see why you couldn't move out of state. As long as you come back to court.
