You must file a motion with the court leading to a hearing as to whether you will be allowed by the court to move. Virginia is not that far awy; you chances of winning should be good.

Re: Moving Out-of-State with my kids

Thank you for your inquiry.

You must obtain a Court Order allowing you to remove the minor children out of the state of New Jersey. However, the fact that the father has been difficult with respect to visitation will certainly work in your favor.

It would be my pleasure to speak to you about your situation. Accordingly, please feel free to contact my office at 732 246 0909 to discuss further.

Very truly yours,
