Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Moving out of stat

My ex and I have joint custody, with me as custodial. He left to go to Florida in Feb. and has stayed and is planning on being there permanent. I would like to move to NC. There is nothing in our documents that states if I can or cannot. Since he has already moved, is there anything that I have to do before making the move?

Technically, you need his consent or a court order authorizing your move. I would be shocked if he objected to your moving closer to him.
