Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
moving out of state
I have 2 children and live in New Jersey. I am the custodial parent, but my ex and I have joint legal custody. Would I need to file a motion to move out of state with my 2 children?

Yes, that is the type of application this office files regularly.
Each such case depends on the facts (the reason for the move, etc.).

Unless the noncustodial parent agrees to consent to your moving, in writing, you will have to file a motion with the
Court for authorization for the move.
Call me if you like.
