Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Moving out of state

I live in NJ and have full custody of my 2 children; their father lives in Delaware. We were never married. There is a court ordered child support arrangement, as well as visitation. I would like to move out of state (Florida) in August. Do I need official approval from the court and/or their father?

Re: Moving out of state

Its one or the other. If he consents, then you can go. Make sure you get that in writing. If he doesn't, you need to go to court and file a motion. Its not an easy motion to win as you are moving far away from him so I suggest getting an attorney to help you.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
