Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Moving out of state

I moved from NJ to Minnesota 2 years ago. I let my 2 kids. ages 17 and 15 live with their dad (IN NJ) because they wanted to finish school there. Now My ex upped and moved to Mississippi last month and never told me. I dont know his address or phone number or anything, and we share joint legal custody. Is that legal?

I can easily find him. It seems that it is illegal if it affects your parental rights.
