Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Moving out of state

I'm recently divorced as was awarded physical & legal custody of my 4 children. I'm planning on moving to Maine with the children and re-marrying in July 04. My ex is upset about this & says he will not allow it. We do not have any place to live in NJ and basically would end up homeless. Can I just leave or do I have to go to court for permission? I am willing to continue bi-weekly visitation provided that he meets us half way (2.5 hrs).

You must obtain the court's permission to permanently move to another state with your children. You should call my office to arrange a consultation at my office.
