Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Multiple motions to financially ruin

Is there any way (advocate, public interest group, law) to get help in stopping my ex-husband from dragging me to court (now up to 16 times for motion hearings, then about 9 other for restraining order, deposition, assault charges, to probation for child support documents etc etc) And no, I never assaulted him or harrassed him, this is just the worlds worst case of injustice in the family court-- really.

I had an attorney for 3 years/ $30,000-- now i have no choice but to wing it (yes I know-- but I am living near poverty due to expenses otherwise)He is using the court system as a way to 'break me' as he promised.

Re: Multiple motions to financially ruin

There is a case on point that Judge Page decided a number of years ago, in response to a father who would bring a frivolous motion just about every month for an audience of fathers' rights cronies.

While recognizing that the Court cannot prospectively enjoin further litigation, Judge Page dealt with the situation by sanctioning the father an attorney fee upon finding that the motion was frivolous.
