What is needed to file for divorce and custody?

I havent talked to a lawyer yet, but want to know what kind of paperwork i would need to bring to a one when filing for divorce and custody. How could i best prepare myself for this difficult journy...

You should be able to talk to the attorney on the phone for a few minutes, and get some basic idea of what you will need to bring, and a very brief idea of what the law is about.

Most lawyers will pick up the phone for potential new clients.

When you meet the attorney, make sure that this is someone that you can work with easily for the up-to-one-year period it may take.
