Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My niece is 21 years old attending college in Florida, I have been supporting my niece practically all of her life, specially now since she is in college, yet her mother continues to claim her daughter on her tax returns even though she does not support her financially.

What are my legal options

Unless there is a court order directing you to pay for her college, or you have some legal control over her, you have no duty to pay and you did this on your own. Thus, I don't see how you have any legal rights as you have no legal duty unless you left out some very important facts.
