NJ Child Support - Inputs to Calculation
In the calculation of one's income for us in determining child support amounts in NJ, can or should the following be used in determining one's income. This individual is in sales and therefore the structure is not different from other positions.
-- Pension that is a set % of base and is fully vested.
-- car allowance
-- internet for home
-- the maximum potential for sales bonus
-- free health insurance

Income is money, not things like cars, usually. The usual approach to calculating support for someone whose income goes up and down is to determine the base income and to make an adjustment, based on the amount of the annual bonus or commission.
