Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
NJ laws of cohabitation
My ex wife has been seeing her boyfriend for about four years. For the past 2.5 years they spend every weekend together as well as vacation together and all holidays. I do not know if they comingle finances. They spend one weekend at my ex's house and the other weekend at his house. My divorce decree has a clause which ends my alimony obligation if my ex cohabitates. Does this qualify enough to go back to court?

Interesting.
You are not near me, so I can not help you.
You may have something there, but you need to investigate and get some legal advice.
Please find a decent, experienced divorce attorney located not too far from you who practices in the county where you got your divorce, and get some advice and assistance.

She is obviously attempting to cohabitate secretly. If you share space more that half the time, doesn't sound like cohabitation? Maybe.

I have an office in Princeton and would be happy to meet with you to discuss this. With the little information you have provided, I cannot say either way. I would need to discuss this with you further.
