Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Does a non custodial parent in NJ need to provide seperate sleeping accommodations for the children? I am the sole parent, he is the NCP, and has them every other weekend overnight for two nights (average one night per week). He has a one bedroom apartment, the kids share his bed, he sleeps on the couch. They have no seperate quarters and live out of suitcases. My ex lives in a very nice one bedroom apartment in an affluent town in which the kids do not attend school. Income is not the issue. I know PAR must who proper sleeping arrangements according to NJ child support guidelines, but NCP sleeping arrangments are not addressed (or I can not find them).

So long as the children who are sleeping together are of the same sex there is no requirement that they have a separate bedroom for visitation purposes.
If it harms the children, then the Judge will order him to change this. If they are of the same sex, and younger, there is less chance the Judge will find that it causes harm.
He must provide 'proper sleeping arrangments' too.
