Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I am owed $54K+ in child support

How can I enforce this? My child isnt even 18 yet, but i cant collect what is owed.....any help for NJ?

You need to file a motion with the court. You can get it paid through probation and ask that a warrant be issued if he fails to keep paying.

If he has an asset or assets or has a job it is a simple matter to compel him to pay. If he refuses to work he can be compelled to work to pay what he owes you.

It is important to reduce the child support arrearages to a judgment so that you have the leverage to collect by seizing something he acquires or inherits.
