is a husband allowed to go through his wife's purse?

You seem to looking for some legal solution to a problem between you and your husband. If he will only respect the Court, instead of your expressed wishes you have a problem which is belong legal remedy, except divorce.

Oh, boy. If you are asking a lawyer's website if a husband can go through his wife's purse, you are probably a wife who is VERY upset indeed that he did this.

You may want to talk to a divorce attorney to see what the law provides when you have very serious problems; you may need to know what results you would get if you need to file for a divorce.
